Arrive: Kathmandu

Afternoon city tour of Kathmandu – locked in by the towering snow-clad mountains of the Himalyan range, Kathmandu is the capital of the ‘Hindu Kingdom of Nepal’ – an extraordinary land only now entering the 20th century. Walk through the narrow cobbled lanes of the old Kathmandu city visiting its many ancient temples among which the most unusual is the Temple of Kumari or ‘the living Goddess’ where a little girl lives in her temple residence showering blessings to her many followers. Visit the Hanuman Dhoka the ancient Royal Palace complex that comprises of a series of 14 courtyards of which Nasal Chowk is still used for Royal ceremonies including coronation.

    Kathmandu

Morning visit Patan – an important ancient city of Kathmandu valley – it is a treasure house of venerable and picturesque buildings. It is also known as the Cradle of Arts and Architecture of the valley with 136 courtyards and 55 major temples. The Patan Durbar Square has been acclaimed as one of the finest urban streetscapes in the world. One can see the artisans crafting unbelievably intricate pieces from wood, stone etc.

The Patan Museum displays the traditional sacred art of Nepal in an illustrious architectural settings. Its home is an old residential court of Patan Durbar, one of the royal palaces of the former Malla kings of the Kathmandu valley. The museum exhibits cover a long span of Nepal’s cultural history and some rare objects are amoung its treasures. Their meaning and context within the living traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism are explained. Most of the objects are cast bronzes and gilt copper repousse work, traditional crafts for which Patan is famous

Afternoon, proceed onto Bodhnath, the largest stupa in the world where from a towering golden pinnacle the painted eyes of the all-seeing Buddha gaze across the valley in every direction, then proceed onto the Pashupatinath temple situated on the banks of Bagmati temple which is the most holy temples of the entire Hindu world. As entrance into the temple precinct is permitted to Hindus only, visitors can clearly see the temple and the activities performed in the temple premises from the eastern bank of the Bagmati river. A sight of cremation being performed on the banks of the river is very common.

    Kathmandu – Chitwan

OPTIONAL – 1 Hour Mountain flight.

The most enchanting flight to Mt. Everest along with many other magnificent mountains has given many mountain lovers of the world to touch their wildest dreams from the most untouched Himalayan heights of Nepal. The flights last for about an hour and you will witness beauties of 8 world's highest mountain peaks out of 14 from a very close range. Your visit to Nepal simply cannot be considered complete until you see the ever-melting beauty of the celestial Himalayas on board a mountain flight.
Morning drive to Chitwan (180 km). Upon arrival in Chitwan – check into the hotel.

Early morning and afternoon jungle safari on elephant back

The Royal Chitwan National Park. The southern plains of Nepal are covered with dense tropical jungle teeming with fascinating wildlife and exotic birds. The one-horned rhinoceros, Royal Bengal tiger, leopards, elephants, fresh water crocodile, pythons, fresh-water dolphins and Himalayan black bear are the stars of the show among the hundreds of species of wild animals that make their home here. The kingdom also contains over 450 species of colorful birds. Overnight at Lodge.

    Chitwan – Pokhara

Morning drive to Pokhara (190 km). Upon arrival in Pokhara – check-in at hotel. Pokhara valley is one of the most picturesque spot of Nepal. The beauty of Pokhara is enhanced by its lovely lakes, which have their source in the glacial region of the Annapurna range of the Himalayas. Situated west of Kathmandu at an altitude of 827 meter from the sea level, for the mountain viewers, Pokhara offers a magnificent view of Dhaulagiri, Machapuchre (Fishtail), five peaks of Annapurna and others. Pokhara is the only place in the world to provide such a dramatic views in a sub-tropical setting.

  Pokhara

Morning sightseeing tour of Pokhara - Visit Devi’s falls, Phewa Lake, Mahendra caves, the Tibetan settlement and Ram bazaar.
Overnight at hotel.

Continue drive to Delhi (203 kms). Upon arrival in Delhi – transfer to International airport for flight to back home.

Morning drive to Kathmandu (210 km). Upon arrival in Kathmandu – check-in at hotel.
